This refers to electronic control units or mechanical devices that assist in making driving easier. Examples include ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and TCS (Traction Control System). In Formula 1, the use of such auxiliary devices is strictly prohibited as the sport is a competition of pure driver skill.
