Gravel trap
그래블 트랩
A gravel trap is a deep layer of gravel placed in the run-off area to rapidly reduce the speed of a vehicle that has left the track. This safety feature absorbs kinetic energy before the car can collide with the barriers, thereby protecting the driver. However, once a car becomes stuck in the gravel, its wheels may spin helplessly, making it difficult to escape under its own power. This situation is commonly referred to as being "beached."
