Overshoot

An overshoot occurs when a driver brakes too late or fails to slow sufficiently before a corner and travels beyond the intended turn-in point or racing line. It can send the car into a runoff area and is commonly seen when a driver misjudges a braking point while attempting an aggressive overtake.
