Wet conditions describe a track surface affected by rain or standing water. In Formula 1, the Race Director may officially declare the track wet, which is particularly relevant to the permitted use of intermediate and wet-weather tyres during practice sessions. Tyre choice then depends on the amount of water and prevailing track conditions.
