Fastest lap
패스티스트 랩
The fastest lap time recorded during a race is referred to as the Fastest Lap, often abbreviated as FL. Starting from the 2019 season, a regulation was reinstated where a driver who sets the fastest lap and finishes within the top 10 positions is awarded an additional point.

Frequently asked questions
Does the fastest lap still award an extra F1 championship point?
No. The bonus championship point for fastest lap was removed after the 2024 season. Fastest lap now identifies the quickest lap recorded during the race without awarding that former bonus point.
Is fastest lap the same as a lap record?
No. Fastest lap refers to the quickest lap in a particular race, while a lap record refers to the recognised benchmark for the circuit.
