Frequently asked questions

How is an F1 Sprint different from a Grand Prix?
A Sprint is a separate competitive session run over a much shorter distance than a Grand Prix, with points awarded to the top finishers.
Does the Sprint result decide the Grand Prix starting order?
No. Under the current format, Sprint Qualifying and Grand Prix Qualifying are separate, so the Sprint result does not directly determine the Grand Prix starting grid.
